Growing up in Mississippi, Katie was always outside looking for an adventure to drag her friends into. This led to building treehouses, biking the neighborhood, and even starting her own band. After her parents bought a local country club she starting working at their community pool and running tennis lessons on the side. Tennis and volleyball became her main focus throughout high school and eventually landed a collegiate tennis scholarship. She played two years at community college and then found a division 2 team in the small town of Livingston, Alabama. This is when she made the decision to study marketing communications and graphic design. She realized she used her creativity everyday, whether she was making blueprints for her treehouse or updating the “daily specials” board at the golf course. Now at 21, she’s building brands and websites for clients while still hitting a tennis ball every once and while.
